Mission Statement

The mission of the Oak Heights Elementary library is to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all students to discover and explore their passions, interests, and curiosities through reading and learning. We are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion by offering a wide range of books, resources, and programs that reflect the rich and varied experiences of our community. Our goal is to empower students to become critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible global citizens who appreciate and respect differences in culture, language, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, ability, and sexual orientation. We believe that a strong and vibrant library is the heart of the school, and we strive to create an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and joy of learning.
